Our Active Ageing class is a gentle, low impact class designed exclusively for the over-50’s.
There's strong evidence that people who stay active as they get older have a lower risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, some cancers, depression and dementia.
This class will focus on mobility (keeping your joints moving with ease), flexibility (helping you bend and stretch) and strength of course, as well as doing just enough to get you a little bit out of breath and keep your heart healthy.
Turn back the clock and put a SPRING in your step with some likeminded people in a fun friendly environment.
No equipment is needed, please just bring water and a towel and wear comfortable, light clothing. Trainers are advisable.
Kettlebell Conditioning is a highly effective fat burning and toning class where you will be using a kettlebell (handheld weight) to add resistance and burn more calories
than normal body weight exercises making this class very effective for weight loss, toning and strength. Kettlebells come in 2kg, 4kg, 6kg and 8kg sizes depending on your strength and ability,
and all exercises can be done without a Kettlebell too if you are just starting out.
Each week will be a different workout but always focus on all the major muscle group of your body, paying specific attention to arms, abs and thighs, within a matter of weeks you will see real changes to your body shape.
Kettlebells can be provided but if you have your own then you will receive a discount from your course fees. Trainers and sports clothing are essential. Please also bring a towel and a drink.

Pilates is a unique method of exercise that focusses on improving core strength, posture, body alignment and flexibility, making you stronger from the inside, out.
It is a slow, controlled and flowing class where breathing and form are essential to its effectiveness.
Pilates helps to release tension, stress and tight areas in your body helping you to move more easily.
Pilates combines standing, seated and floor based exercises and all exercises can be modified and adapted.
Pilates was founded by Joseph Pilates in the 1920’s who believed there was a strong link between mental and physical health, and our clients tell us that after classes they leave feeling calm, relaxed and an inch taller and after just one class experience less back, neck and shoulder pain. Please bring a drink and mat (if you have one) and wear comfy, loose clothing. We do this class in bare feet or socks so trainers are not essential.
Spinning is a unique exercise class using a specially designed indoor cycle with a weighted flywheel.
With our market leading bikes, large TV screen, pumping sound system and club lighting at our Burgh-le-Marsh studio, our Spinning classes have a reputation locally as providing the ultimate fun cardio workout.
Participants can burn upwards of 500 calories in a 50 minute class and really tone and strengthen the lower body and core muscles through a combination of Sprints, climbs and interval training.
Our skilled instructors will do the class with you, demonstrating and motivating throughout and keeping the music playlists fresh each week as you progress through the term.
A major advantage of Spinning is that each participant can control the level of intensity by adjusting the gear (resistance) of the bike, meaning that whether you are an elite athlete or a beginner, you can enjoy the same class together as a group.
Please bring a drink and a towel, firm-soled trainers or cycling shoes are recommended. Beginners classes are available.
Pump and Tone is an incredibly effective workout in which participants use light to moderate weight barbells and dumbbells in a range of moves that are designed to target and tone muscles.
All participants have the option to do the moves with a very light weight until strength builds but the changes to your body shape will be amazing.
This is a low impact class and can be enjoyed by all ages and fitness levels.
This small group class is done to music, and our skilled instructors will guide you through each move to ensure your form is correct and you get the best possible results.
You’ll know you’ve had a workout, but will be itching to come back for more!

A small-group class based at our Studio, Body Blast is a fun and challenging circuit class where different exercises are performed at different stations using a range of equipment,
including Dumbells, Medicine balls, Kettlebells, TRX, Sandbags, Barbells, Resistance Bands, Gym Balls and Steps.
This class will give you a full body workout where you can improve your cardiovascular fitness, tone and tighten those hard to reach areas and give you fantastic results.
Each week will give you a brand new workout where you will be supported and motivated by our skilled instructor, helping you to push you out of your comfort zone and deliver results.
All exercises can be modified so this class is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Using the unique and versatile BOSU balance dome, this class give you a workout like no other. The BOSU dome is actually an inflated hemisphere attached to solid base and in our
small group class we use both sides for balance.
Because standing on the BOSU is less stable compared to simply standing on the floor, you will use your muscles in a totally different way and really improve your core strength and stability.
This is also great for our clients recovering from ankle and knee injuries as part of their rehabilitation.
Suitable for all ages and fitness levels, from beginners to elite athletes, if you want to try something different then this is the class for you. Please bring a drink and a towel, trainers are essential.
Using the recently installed Ballet Bars in our boutique studio, this small group class uses a combination of postures inspired by ballet, Pilates and Body Conditioning to deliver low-impact,
isometric strength training and can make a noticeable difference to your core strength, stability, posture and body shape, increasing flexibility and reducing stress.
If you would like to tone your legs, bottom, arms and tummy area in a slow and controlled class then Barre will be perfect for you.
Taught by Emma, our Barre classes are in high demand and with good reason. Please bring a drink and wear comfy, loose clothing. We do this class in bare feet or socks so trainers are not essential but socks with grips are great if you have them.

The Pregnancy Pilates Masterclass is suitable at any stage of your pregnancy and enjoy the benefits of a calm and relaxed workout environment.
The Pilates technique is perfect for pre and post-natal as it concentrates on your core muscles, alignment, posture, mobility and flexibility with specific attention paid to strengthening your pelvic floor muscles.
The exercises you will be doing during your class can be continued at home as you will be provided with a follow up movement plan to help release any tight areas and keep your body moving, healthy and happy every day.
We will be using a Stability Ball and Resistance band during the class and there is the option to buy your own when booking the course which will be ready for you to use and take home on the day if you prefer.
